Biography
MyVirtual.Lawyer is a client-centered, online law firm model designed to meet the legal needs of today’s legal consumers – currently in Arkansas, Alabama and Texas. We help clients gain access to quality legal services disrupting the idea of traditional practice and offering an alternative client and attorney experience. MVL’s individually customized representation includes a personal and secure client portal with 24/7 access, personalized service options, and a dedicated, experienced attorney ready to walk each client through the process.
Attorney Brooke Moore created MVL in 2015 based on a growing need for affordable, quality assistance and a steady decline in access currently not adequately addressed by the legal industry. There is an ever increasing number of consumers who fill this gap, and Brooke was on the forefront of recognizing the need and opportunity to create a modern legal service to fill this need. MVL believes that the right to counsel is a necessity, not a luxury, and it is our mission to find ways to improve access to quality legal assistance for all. When individuals do not need or cannot afford to pay for an attorney to handle their entire case, limited-scope representation can be a great way for those individuals to have legal help with their case while keeping costs down and offer a more manageable way to practice law for attorneys. Laura O’Bryan joined Brooke as co-owner in 2017 to aid in the mission.
MVL also serves as an asset to other law firms. Laura and Brooke co-founded MVL for Attorneys in 2018 to spread the word. Our network of “partner law firms” follow the MVL model of practice and use the brand to further their reach and offer an alternative way to convert legal consumers to clients. Laura and Brooke also believe in collaboration, not competitive blocking, so they offer courses on such topics as How to Build a Virtual Law Firm so that others can learn from their experience instead of starting from scratch like they did.
